CTS was formed in the Summer of 2001 at the beach of Jaguaribe, Salvador. Professional surfer and physical educator Bruno Pitanga decided he wanted to pass the experience he had acquired for a sport he loved and share this with others. In 2004 CTS gained a partner of hugh weight with the arrival of the 2000 W.Q.S World Champion Armando Daltro. Armando was also a member of the W.C.T for 7 years and like Bruno wanted to share his love for the sport with other people.

Bruno and Armando both learnt to surf at the age of 8 and are united in there objective’s of how they want CTS to not only teach people how to surf but to also educate them on how to become better surfer’s from beginner’s right through to competition level.

Since CTS started each year it has gained more importance in the setting of Bahian surfing, always developing it’s activities and helping the sport to move forward in a positive direction.

We aim to give our students all the technical support as well as just high level coaching in the water. With the use of HD GoPro camera’s, filming and flash photography we can then take our students into the classroom and go beyond showing the theoretical side of what they’re doing wrong but also what they are doing right to help them maximize their potential.
